Urban S.T.E.M. Initiative

Through the Urban STEM Initiative PSIR stimulates a interest in STEM for students during school and out of school time through robotics training, math enrichment and STEM based competitions. The Urban STEM Initiative has the following goals and objectives:

  1. Improve student STEM knowledge base

  2. Be exposed to positive images of STEM professionals 

  3. Student team building skills 

  4. Increase student confidence about math and science


Social Entrepreneurship 


Social entrepreneurship is the process of pursuing innovative solutions to social problems. More specifically, social entrepreneurs adopt a mission to create and sustain social value. They pursue opportunities to serve this mission, while continuously adapting and learning. PSIR's Social Entrepreneurshhip program is designed to accelerate the emergencce of physical of virtual businesses owned and ran by students by offering:


  1. Extensive Mentoring and Support

  2. Professional Business Coaching

  3. Entreprenuership Camps

  4. Financial Literacy







A multifaceted academic enrichment, mentoring, and leadership development program for minority male students. PMLI equips young males with the knowledge and skills to make better decisions, achieve academic excellence and become productive leaders. The overall goal of PMLI is to ensure that minority male students graduate from high school, enter college, become career ready and productive men of society.  The Project Manhood Leadership Institue has the following goals and objectives.


  1. Build self-confidence and self-esteem by experiencing success among their peers.

  2. Assist students in improving their reading, mathematics, science, and social skills.

  3. Expose students to positive role models and mentors with careers in such fields as education, medicine, engineering, accounting, and computer programming.
