Project Still I Rise to host First Urban S.T.E.M. Camp at UTD

Project Still I Rise will host its First Annual Urban S.T.E.M. Initiative Camp at the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, Texas, to be held Wednesday, July 13, 2011 through Saturday, July 16, 2011.  The camp will serve 15-20 middle school students, providing them with an intellectually-stimulating environment designed to strengthen their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic skills, as well as further cultivate an interest in S.T.E.M. disciplines.  The camp will span three days, with the kickoff on Thursday at 8:30AM by title sponsor and partner, Rockwell Collins.  An oral team presentation competition amongst the participants will be held at the closing ceremony on Saturday, July 16, 2011.

Other sponsors and partners of the camp include The University of Texas at Dallas, The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Texas Instruments, Comerica Bank and Raytheon.
